This apartment belongs to a successful Sydney-based businessman who wanted a luxurious and contemporary lock-up-and-go abode to suit his busy lifestyle
Probably our most labour-intensive project to date, this 33-unit residential apartment block in Surrey Hills required extensive planning and precise execution to deliver on time and within budget.
We took inspiration from the art deco aesthetic in order to insert a sense of opulent drama and as such chose a showstopping stone throughout the kitchen, a selection of luxe wall papers, rich jewel tones fabrics and ornate light fittings.
We took inspiration from the quaint garden beyond, which informed much of the choice of accent colours and shades for the accessories, art and soft furnishings – nature is always an abundant source of inspiration.
We designed these spaces within this multi-residential development, with a sophisticated monochromatic feel that are brought to life with varying textures and finishes that simultaneously evoke a sense of space but also comfort.
This apartment required a total transformation from being dark and dated to being a light and modern canvas for the client’s collection of valuable artworks, as well as being a home full of creature comforts.
This 3-bedroom apartment in Maroubra was a dream project from the start, particularly because the client’s initial brief was, ‘a home that compliments my distinct art of living’. The client, who is also a friend, is a pianist and artist and the apartment had to accommodate his baby grand as well as his vast selection of beautiful art.
